According to leaked documents (because these things are never announced publicly), Tesla proposed a “revenue-neutral” model to the British government. In plain English: every internal combustion engine car buyer would have to pay additional costs, either through fuel taxes or direct vehicle purchases. The reason? To raise funds so others can enjoy discounts on electric cars. How thoughtful! Because apparently, those who can barely afford gas should also subsidize someone else’s electric luxury…
