Hi Jon.

Your situation is similar to mine 10 years ago, when I had just graduated from my first trade degree.

It was 2010 and we were still facing the effects of 2008’s crisis here in Spain.

I had to take a ton of shitty jobs totally unrelated to car mechanics, and those didn’t last long. Then I went to study again, and by the time I finished I was able to work in several workshops, until the moment when COVID arrived here.

Now at 30 I’m enrolled in college, studying again, but I’m not worried, I’ll do what I know best: survive the storm and prepare myself.

That’s what you must think, that this situation will be over and you’ll have learned something.

Also, difficult times usually are good teachers, and Barcelona will still be there in the future, unless the next crisis is a tsunami, but I hope it isn’t.

So that’s all. Hold on, keep learning and don’t feel bad, I’ve been there and it doesn’t take you anywhere.
