I’m Done With Fake Empathy

REAL IS RARE

There you are, minding your own business, when out of the white comes some cheesy statement. Someone is talking about caring, sharing, empathy, blah, blah, blah.

It’s fun because you already know it’s, as we say in my country, faker than a €3 bill.

It’s fun because me or you thinking this doesn’t mean we don’t care about others. We care, and because we care, we notice all this flower-power movement is more interested in getting into our pockets than in helping anyone.

Like, we will see some YouTuber posting videos “helping” the homeless or something and after a few days, we’ll discover it was staged, or there will be a new company talking about giving voice to everyone, but then it will only voice those that think like them.

Empathy, Good Feelings, Etc. Have Become Another Product

Sad but true. It’s no longer about being nice, fair, or having true morals, but about making sure everyone sees you pretending. Left or right, there is no difference, excepting, perhaps, the message.

But the message doesn’t matter if those conveying it aren’t acting according to it.

Instead, we just put another product out there to buy and degrade the true meaning of anything deeper than the latest TikTok trend.

This was me venting out my thoughts. How about you? What do you think?
