Most People My Age Can Not Afford to Have Kids
Just another millennial’s rant
I live in a generation that has had to indefinitely postpone any plans, a generation that cannot even make plans for the immediate future.
Today I have seen a funny meme about reaching your thirties single, without kids, and with enough savings to buy a car. It has made me laugh until I realized something. Most of the people my age that I know are not having kids.
Only a few of them have achieved to leave their parents’ homes and start living together.
The rest of them are still living at their parents’ and without hopes of leaving anytime soon.
And none of us can afford by any means to buy a new car.
My generation is going to be the first generation in Spain that cannot afford not only to own a house but even renting one.
