Our attention span has diminished because of our addiction to social media
We rarely think about this. But our lives are stressful, and the primary cause to blame is inside our pocket. It’s our cellphone.
Yes. That piece of plastic keeps us all day vigilant. We are always awaiting the next notification that will send some pleasure to our brain. Like the next high. We never think about this, but we are drug addicts.
Our society regards as a common behavior the indiscriminate use of cellphones on any occasion.
I am not exaggerating. Every interaction with our phone releases chemicals to our brain that can make us feel pleasure and become dependent on them. Big tech companies know this, and they know how to take advantage of it.
Facebook has refined its algorithm to a point where it can show irresistible content in your wall, that you didn’t ask for, but will watch because it catches your attention.
